What nuvo is

nuvo helps you record meals and nutrients. All figures are estimates. nuvo is not a medical device, gives no medical recommendations and does not replace advice from a doctor or dietitian.

Contract and account

The contract comes into being when you sign in with Apple. You need an Apple account and an iPhone. The account is personal; passing it on to others is not intended.

Free and Pro

  • Free stays free and includes 30 credits per month (enough for about ten photo analyses); unused credits expire at the end of the month.
  • Pro costs EUR 3.49 per month or EUR 24.99 per year and includes 600 credits per month, carried over up to 1,200.
  • A credit pack with 200 credits costs EUR 1.99 and does not expire.
  • The 7-day trial is free and ends by itself if you do not buy anything.
  • The price shown to you by the App Store at purchase is the one that applies.

Purchase, renewal, cancellation

Purchases run exclusively through Apple. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it in your iPhone settings at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Refunds are handled by Apple; we cannot issue them ourselves.

Right of withdrawal

For digital content the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies. It lapses once use begins, if you have explicitly agreed to that. [pending: wording of the withdrawal notice reviewed by legal counsel]

Your content

Your entries and photos are yours. We process them only in order to provide the app – not to train models with them, and not to pass them on.

Availability and changes

We aim for continuous operation but do not owe any particular availability. Features can change; we announce substantial restrictions in the app.

Liability

We are liable for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence we are liable only for personal injury and for breaches of essential contractual duties, limited to foreseeable damage. Decisions about nutrition and health are made by you and the people treating you.

Governing law and jurisdiction

Austrian law applies. For consumers the protective provisions of their country of residence remain unaffected. [pending: place of jurisdiction after consulting legal counsel]
